5th May 2017 was celebrated in an extravagant way to bid farewell to the SCLP Samaj School prefects body of 2016 – 2017. There was a party held at the swimming pool where a hearty welcome was accorded to the newly elected prefects body of 2017 – 2018.
The new prefects led by Madam Sharma, took the oath of office. This followed the cake cutting ceremony and jubilation by the incoming prefects. The principal and staff in-charge of discipline spoke a few words of appreciation for the outgoing prefects. The old prefects were awarded with their certificates in appreciation for their commendable service to the school. Badges were handed over by the outgoing Head Boy and Head Girl to their incoming counterparts.
The official ceremony culminated into a sumptuous lunch, music and dance by the pool area.
All in all it was a successful farewell party attended and enjoyed by prefects and several staff members.
